JOB DETAILS:
Prisoners’ Future Foundation (PFF) is a local non-governmental organization duly registered in the Republic of Zambia under the NGO Act of 2009 in the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services. The organization was formed to look into the welfare of serving and former prisoners, including citizens who, though un-convicted, have come in contact with the criminal justice system.
The vision of PFF: is to see a society in which there is equal access to justice for in-mates and ex-mates, respect for human rights, observance of the rule of law and a sustainable and pollution-free environment.
The Mission Statement of PFF: is to provide legal services as a means of promoting humanrights to inmates and their rehabilitation while empowering and integrating ex-inmates into society.
PFF in partnership with CELIM Zambia is currently implementing a project, supported by the European Union, under the Project title – Abilitation and Reintegration of Offenders for a Sustainable Growth in Zambia. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to a peaceful, just and inclusive society in the Districts of Mongu, Kaoma, Senanga, Kalabo, Mumbwa and Mazabuka in Zambia. With a view to meet legal needs of inmates, the project has an intervention to offer pro-bono legal activities such as legal representation in court, follow-up on cases with relevant authorities, advocacy meetings in the correctional facilities and provision of legal and counseling services to inmates.

It is in light of the above development that PFF invites law students and graduates from the respective towns (below) to be attached to the project to offer pro-bono legal services to inmates in Mongu, Kalabo, Senanga, Kaoma and Mumbwa Correctional Facilities. .
