JOB DETAILS:
About AKP Zambia
Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy (AKP), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the philanthropic arm of Abercrombie & Kent (A&K). The organization traces its beginnings back to 1982 when Jorie Butler Kent, AKP Co-Chairman, together with A&K Founder, Chairman and CEO Geoffrey Kent, first raised funds for conservation efforts in the Masai Mara National Reserve of Kenya. Today, AKP carries on A&K’s social and environmental commitments on a global scale with approximately 46 projects in 24 countries across all seven continents, managed by AKP’s 8 Coordinators located across the globe. AKP aims to help nature to thrive and cultures to flourish by positively impacting lives and livelihoods in the communities where Abercrombie & Kent guests travel. Through dedicated strategic investments in education, conservation, healthcare and enterprise, we inspire our guests and staff to actively support our philanthropic endeavors.
AKP has been working in Zambia since 2012, in partnership with the Nakatindi community on the outskirts of Livingstone. Nakatindi is located on the boundary of Livingstone’s Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, just 15kms from the world-famous Victoria Falls. Find out more at www.akphilanthropy.org
