JOB DETAILS:
We are a leading player in Gold mining and processing sector.
This senior role requires a seasoned leader with substantial experience in plant processing procedures and output management.
The role reports to the General Manager and works closely with the Mine Manager and other Heads of Department.

The Duties include;
• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day process plant operations
• Responsible for production output including crushing milling and gold produced
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimum results
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
• Monitor process operations and trigger corrective actions timeously
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
• Collect and analyse to find places of waste or overtime
• Commit to plant safety procedures and standards
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity, standards and performance targets to ensure return on assets
• Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
• Good slimes dam management skills
• Compile monthly reports
• Compile monthly budgets
• Ensure timely availability of critical spares and consumables
• Maintain agreed stock levels
• Ensure the plant runs at optimum levels for gold production output

The person must have:
• Proven track record as Plant Manager in processing precious metals for markets Proven managerial experience to lead a specialised team
• Adequate knowledge of business management principles (budgeting, strategic metrics and planning, resource allocation and human resources)
• Knowledgeable of Safety, quality, productivity, inventory and stewardship processes Strong team building, decision making and people management skills
• A Degree in mining with a bias to Metallurgy
• A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience at management level in a mineral processing plants preferably gold
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
