Africa Improved Foods Ltd (AIF), is a Public-Private Partnership focused on addressing malnutrition through the production of nutritious, high quality fortified foods. It is a joint venture involving a number of international organisations: DSM – the largest nutrition company in the world; the World Bank (IFC); the UK Govt (CDC) the Dutch Govt (FMO). The Government of Rwanda, and the World Food Programme.
Our products are intended to address malnutrition among vulnerable population segments such as pregnant and breast-feeding mothers, older infants and young children especially in the first 1,000 days of their life and the whole family. To this end, we have built a world class food processing plant in Rwanda – to serve the East Africa region - and are now expanding into Ethiopia.
In as much as we are a commercial, for profit organization, we also strive to have the maximum social, economic and environmental impact possible on the communities in which we operate. In this respect, we have strong working relationships with reputable NGO’s across the EAC Region.

General Job information
Job title: Procurement Data Support

Purpose of the job
The jobholder will contribute to keep a track of internal data of the department, filling of hard copies of contracts and PO, analyse indirect procurements offers, receiving samples of all raw materials from different suppliers and make a follow up on their internal, follow up and daily updates on Agro-inputs resells.

Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:

• Keep contracts and POs information in both hard and soft information,
• Updating and Analysing Procurement database of contracts purchase orders and supplier assessment as well as reconciling of all raw materials delivery plan report.
• Support the team to have all the hard data information tally with soft information and keep the archive up to date.
• Keep all agro inputs information updated,
• Support the team in price analysis for service and indirect procurement,
• Understand and track supplier’s performance based on contractual obligations,
• Comply with and maintain knowledge of applicable rules, legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices
• Make a monthly report for the contracts and PO made,
  Support Contract Manager in implementing contract & ensure contract compliance:
• Support in collecting and consolidating data on contract compliance and supplier performance
• Support in identifying opportunities and actions for continuous improvement by means of analysis of supplier performance and KPI data.

Knowledge and educational level
Educational level:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Management, Applied Mathematics Statistics or any other related field
• Business mind person in analysis, market information, administration/Logistics with good analytical skills, structural thinking & presentation capabilities, and an outgoing and convincing personal character.

Required level of experience

• 5 years’ experience in data analysis, procurement and logistics, with demand forecasting and Operations planning
• Experience in report preparation;
• Having ownership spirit in work relation
• Experience with SAP, ERP-system (Purchase and Forecasting applications)
• Excellent command of data-analysis using excel
• Experience of local, regional and International agricultural commodity markets
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts Total Cost of Ownership
• Knowledge of purchasing processes (sourcing and operational) in business to-business context
• Familiar with industry and markets dynamics as well as value chain
• Result oriented & Self-propelling attitude
• Pro-active in process-efficiency-initiatives
• Being a team work person, self-initiative, quick in taking decision when necessary
