Zambezi Cashews Company Limited is a company that is wholly owned by Industrial Development Corporation (“IDC”). The commercial plantation is in the Likonge-Nabala area of Mongu of the Western Province of Zambia. It seeks to establish a cashew processing plant to add value to the cashew nuts produced at the plantation as well as third-party cashew nut plantations from within the province.
As part of its growth strategy, a need has arisen to fill the following position.

(1) Procurement Officer
Key Roles and Responsibilities.
1. Create and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers of the company.
2. Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors to promote good procurement practices with due regards to sustainable, ethical purchasing standards under the law of Zambia.
3. Estimate and establish budgets for purchasing materials.
4. Review all vendors and suppliers.
5. Work with internal stake holders to determine procurement needs, quantity, quality, and delivery requirements.
6. Negotiate pricing and supply contracts.
7. Reconciliation or resolve order discrepancies with suppliers.
8. Develop plans for purchasing services and supplies.
9. Maintain and updates a list of suppliers.
10. Initiate and keep track of orders.
11. Lease or purchase policy evaluation and recommendation.
12. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications.
1. Must be 18 years and above.
2. Possess a Grade 12 certificate.
3. Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)/ A degree will be added advantage or its equivalent in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
4. Professional Registration:
5. Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply.
6. Minimum Experience:
7. Minimum (3) Years experience in Supply Chain Management.
