JOB DETAILS:
Yalelo is seeking a results-driven Production Planning Officer with exceptional Excel, data analysis, and reporting skills. This role involves collaborating closely with the Production Planning Team to manage complex datasets and generate insightful reports that support informed decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strategic mindset, and excel at balancing production targets with resource management to ensure smooth workflows and timely execution of production plans.
This position is based at our Siavonga production site and is open to Zambian nationals only.
The right fit candidate will perform the following duties;
Responsibilities
• Develops monthly production plans to meet operational targets.
• Monitors the stock pipeline weekly to ensure a healthy supply, promptly identifying and flagging risks to the Production Planning Manager.
• Conducts analysis of production performance and prepares detailed reports.
• Collaborates with the Production Planning Manager to update stakeholders on production progress and any potential risks.
• Proactively tracks and analyses daily planned vs actual results, escalating any deviations to the Production Planning Manager.
• Performs root cause analysis on deviations, providing detailed findings to the Production Planning Manager.
• Continuously adapts and refines the planning system to align with real-world conditions, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Prepares weekly and monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) reports using Power BI, Excel, and Aqua Manager data.
• Monitors stock levels and adjusts based on velocity, optimizing efficiency.
• Tracks stock ageing daily, identifying and flagging potential risks in advance.
• Oversees Broodstock generation, monitoring results weekly, and reporting on performance.
• Develops and maintains Excel and Power BI tools to track key production metrics.
• Assists in preparing for the weekly production meeting by compiling slides and reviewing numbers from other departments to enhance meeting efficiency.
Qualifications
• Relevant bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• 1.5-year minimum experience working in data & analytics or material planning, preferably in the FMCG industry
• Detailed knowledge of the Production Activites & forecasting
• Excellent organization and Problem-solving skills
• Intermediate – Advanced Excel
• Intermediate PowerBi
