Scope of Work
We are seeking a professional French interpreter and translator for an event in Livingstone from 11-15 November 2024. The interpreter will facilitate English-French interpretation for approximately six French-speaking and 33 English-speaking participants. The role includes:
• Consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between English and French during presentations, discussions, and breakout sessions.
• Translation of written materials, such as handouts, meeting agendas, and presentation slides, from English to French and vice versa.
• Ensuring clear communication among participants by translating questions, responses, and feedback in real time.
Additional Requirements
The selected interpreter should provide:
• A microphone or headset system and any supporting audio devices required for interpretation.
• A support team (preferably two additional personnel) to ensure smooth delivery of services throughout the day for all participants.
• High proficiency in both English and French, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, technical healthcare discussions.
