JOB DETAILS:
Position Summary
The Program Intern reports to the Program Manager and provides support to the Programs, Finance and Administration Units in all functions requiring administration & finance and program management reporting.
Administrative Support:
• Provide general administrative assistance to the program manager and project team.
• Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls on behalf of the program manager.
• Assist in coordinating meetings, workshops, and conferences.
• Prepare meeting agendas and document minutes as required.
Program Management Support:
• Assist in the implementation of program activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
• Collaborate with program manager to update and monitor project workplans.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as directed by the program manager.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and documentation.
• Ensure that all project-related documents are securely stored and easily accessible.
Finance Support:
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist in tracking expenses and ensure they align with budgetary allocations.
• Generate regular budget reports for the program manager’s review.
Education & Minimum Qualifications
• Full grade 12 certificate
• Degree in Business Administration or Program Management
• Basic Computer Skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Good communication skills.
