JOB DETAILS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that the children in Alliance for Children Everywhere Zambia (ACEZ) Facilities are well taken care of, in line with the Governments’ Minimum standards of Care.
• Conduct home assessments for children admitted to ACEZ transit homes
• Formulate and update Childs Care Plans in the ACEZ transit homes.
• Collaborate and maintain cooperation with Foster to Adopt (FTA) and Family Preservation and Empowerment Program (FPEP) and Education Program Officers.
• Compile monthly FPEP reports
• Ensure the children in the transit homes have access to quality health care and education
• Ensure that the children in the transit homes have adequate play, rest and well balanced meals
• Provide developmental therapy for children in the transit homes
• Any other duties assigned to you by the FPEP Manager.

The required candidate must be innovative, self-driven, passionate about empowerment of vulnerable children and families.

Specific Skills
• Good planner, with budgeting knowledge and ability to pay attention to detail
• Solid written and grammatical skills
• Ability to run projects and initiatives independently
• Ability to prioritize and multi task
• Ability to drive will be an added advantage (Valid Drivers License)

QUALIFICATIONS
• Full Grade12 school Certificate,
• A Bachelors Degree in Child Psychology/Psychology, Social Work or any relevant Social Science
• Full Registration with the Social Workers Association of Zambia (SWAZ) will be an added advantage
• A qualification and experience in Psychosocial Counseling (especially involving children) will be an added advantage
• Two (2) years proven work experience
