Project Manager, Renewable Energy for Refugees (RE4R) Project (Rwanda) - Maternity Cover
We’re seeking a project management professional to lead our Rwanda team as a maternity cover for the next 6 months. You will be joining us at a very exciting time, as we move into on-the-ground implementation of our energy access interventions in three refugee camps in Rwanda.
As a member of the Practical Action East Africa team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the RE4R project in Rwanda, a high profile humanitarian energy access project, working with a team of local and international experts. Being the senior most position for Practical Action in Rwanda, the post holder will also be expected to take on leadership elements of the role for the country’s portfolio focusing on partnership building and legal compliance.

You’ll have a background in project management with previous experience of managing teams, budgets and on-site delivery in the humanitarian context. You will lead by example, living our brand values, and enabling the team to shine. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple geographies. You will have a proven track record of project delivery and demonstrate strong strategic and operational problem-solving skills. You will have considerable experience in planning, financial and contract management, client and partner co-ordination.
