Job Description
Salary scale & residence:
• Under contract job with attractive net salary per month;
• Requires to reside at Rwanda Coding Academy, Nyabihu district with standardized accommodation facilities provided;
General duties and responsibilities:
• In coordination with Government stakeholders be responsible for developing the plan of actions and ensure proper implementation;
• Be in charge of resource mobilization, budget allocation and ensuring that the school has all required facilitations;
• Be in charge of monitoring and evaluation of all school plans, audit requirements and reporting;
• Specifically, support the scheduling and timely running of school programs, activities to ensure that students get the best training;
• Be in charge of coordinating the stakeholders of Rwanda Coding Academy, including the school staff, Government partners, all ensuring that their roles and responsibilities are fulfilled as expected;
• Be in charge of monitoring and evaluation of school short, medium and long term strategic objectives and ensure proper realignment for school success;
• Be responsible for any other school related duties as will be assigned by the Rwanda polytechnics
• Be responsible for developing a change oriented culture that is willing to adopt world class teaching best practices among the faculty and staff in order to promote critical thinking, learning excellence, creativity, and inquisitive minds in students;
• Be the external face of the school for visiting dignitaries and outside organizations; explaining the school’s vision and developing connections with potential partners and sponsors.
Job Profile
Qualification & competencies
• Minimum of Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science;
• A minimum of ten years’ experience of practical teaching of software development related courses in a school/academic environment;
• A minimum of 13 years’ experience of serving a coordination or management senior level in an academic environment, particularly in a computer science/ICT related field;
• Ability to manage projects effectively consistently ensuring timeliness and quality of project work.
• Should be well equipped with practical competencies in financial management, Business analysis, total quality control, contracts and procurement standards, resource mobilization and human resources management;
• Should be well proficient in English communication language, with both written and spoken competencies, public speaking, presentation skills, interpersonal corporate relationship;
• Specifically, should possess proven experience in writing of projects, business proposals and comfortable with use of ICT tools for standards project control;
