ABOUT BEIT CURE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Founded in 2006, Beit CURE Children’s Hospital (BCH) is a faith-based, specialised health institution dedicated to providing Christ-centered care to children with disabilities and their families. BCH is renowned for its specialized services in Pediatric Orthopedics, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) and Audiology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as the provision of Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Beyond healthcare delivery, BCH actively contributes to national healthcare objectives by building capacity in the area of its specialization. Over the years, BCH has made significant contributions to the development of ENT and Audiology services across the country, complementing government initiatives.
We are now looking for a highly qualified, skilled and passionate Project Manager to lead the implementation of the upcoming project, Strengthening Integration of People-Centered Ear and Hearing Care (IPC-EHC) in Zambia.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Strengthening IPC-EHC in Zambia project is a four-year initiative funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the Christian Blind Mission (CBM). This project, aligned with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Intergrated People-Centered Ear and Hearing Care (IPC-EHC) framework, builds on two previous successful collaborations between BCH and CBM between 2017 to 2021.
Implemented as a community-driven initiative, the project will closely partner with the government, leveraging existing structures within the Ministry of Health (MoH). The primary beneficiaries include individuals with or at risk of hearing loss, as well as government nurses, clinical officers, and community health workers, who will be trained in Primary Ear and Hearing Care (PEHC). The project will also collaborate with the Ministry of Education and other organizations supporting individuals with hearing impairments.
The project’s objectives are to:
1. Strengthen existing Ear and Hearing Care (EHC) services in Lusaka, Central, and Southern Provinces.
2. Expand EHC services to the provinces of Eastern, Luapula, Northern, and Muchinga for the first time.

ABOUT THE ROLE OF PROJECT MANAGER – IPC-EHC PROJECT
The overall mission of the project manager is to lead the implementation of the Strengthening IPC-EHC in Zambia Project. This role involves overseeing the project’s strategy, planning, and execution, ensuring effective collaboration with the Ministry of Health, organizations supporting the hearing impaired, and hard of hearing and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing community-based system-strengthening projects, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position is based in Lusaka and reports directly to the Executive Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Programme Manager will:
• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the IPC-EHC project to achieve its goals.
• Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders including MoH, CBM, government bodies, and organisations of people with hearing impairments.
• Facilitate the seamless integration of project activities within MoH systems, working closely with nurses, clinical officers, and community health workers.
• Coordinate training initiatives to build the capacity of healthcare workers and community volunteers in Primary Ear and Hearing Care (PEHC).
• Ensure adherence to BMZ funding guidelines, procurement protocols, and financial regulations.
• Working alongside the M&E Officer, establish and implement a robust M&E framework that enables regular progress tracking, data collection for impact assessment, and the identification of best practices and lessons learned. The framework will also support adaptive management to ensure responsiveness and continuous improvement throughout the project.
• Provide detailed reports to BCH management and CBM on project progress detailing lessons learnt and documentation of best practice.
• Advocate for the national expansion of EHC services to ensure sustainable long-term impact.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, public health, or a related field.
• Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
• At least 8 years of experience in national or international NGO settings.
• Proven ability to manage community-based system strengthening projects especially in a health related project.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
• Expertise in project management, including monitoring and evaluation
• Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail and with a strong track record of project reporting to donors.
• Sound knowledge of budgeting and financial management in donor-funded programs.
• Proven experience of developing and implemeting rights-based programmes and working with marginalised and excluded groups.
• Knowledge of the National Health and ENT Strategic Plan and proven exeperience of working with MoH at the National, Provincial, District and community level.
• A background in disability rights and working with vulnerable groups is an added advantage.
• Experience of working with persons with disabilities or promoting disability rights an added advantage

KEY SKILLS
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, especially in multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in report writing and the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Advocacy skills to support the expansion of sustainable EHC interventions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• A deep commitment to BCH’s mission and values, including alignment with CURE’s Statement of Faith.
• Willingness to travel within Zambia as needed for the project.
