EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - REGISTRAR
15th July 2019 The Veterinary Council of Zambia invites suitably qualified persons for the position of Registrar for a contract period of up to three (3) years, renewable based on performance.
LOCATION: Lusaka District
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Registrar shall be
• The Chief Executive Officer of the Council and Secretary to the Council
• Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the Council. .

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Sciences OR any other professional field with a minimum of five (5) years work experience. Business administration qualifications/ skills and office management skills will be an added advantage.
• Must be a Zambian citizen, with a valid driving license obtained not less than two (2) years ago.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of Zambian legislation that governs and affects the veterinary profession.
• Must be enthusiastic, sober-minded, self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision to accomplish tasks as set out in the Job description.
• Must be computer literate with ability to use the Microsoft Office suite.
• Must have excellent and demonstrable writing and communication skills
• Must be able to embrace teamwork.
• The person must be willing to travel, both locally and regionally in the normal course of duties.
• Must have three (3) traceable references.
