JOB DETAILS:
• Agents Of Change Foundation Zambia (ACF) for short has over the years actively worked with local and international organizations in amplifying Youth Voices giving by providing them with basic media, communication and radio skills crucial for them to speak on matters important to them.
• Some of the organizations that have partnered with and worked with Agents of Change foundation Zambia includes; UNICEF ZAMBIA, Radio Workshops International, formerly known the Children’s Radio Foundation of South Africa, Others include Wildlife Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia-WECSZ, Beer Feet Theater, the German Agency For International Cooperation , World Wildlife Fund For Nature- WWF , Young & Emerging Farmers Initiative , NDI ,Ukanimanje , Sunshine Cinema , SouthSouthNorth , the Zambian government including over 15 community and commercial radio stations across five Zambian provinces.
• In the recent past, the organization has worked to help in catalyzing a generation of ethical young leaders by training over 1200 young people as youth reporters-The youth in turn produce radio and podcast content.
• The organization has also spearheaded Community engagements in the form of Community Dialogue meetings, offering Capacity building training, workshops and flashmob engagements using theatre for development to over 2000 adolescent girls, women and the general populous.
• Since its inception, the foundation has thrived on using radio to create opportunities for dialogue among various publics including women and girls, participation, leadership, and active citizenship are equally among the key areas of focus. By giving youth (predominantly girls) basic radio skills with most recent engagements on the Copperbelt Province focusing on the creation of speaking platforms for females engaged in and interested in issues of governance and politics through its -Inclusive Governance-Claiming The Female Space Project.
• ACF actively promotes, supports and creates an enabling environment for staff to be dynamic, thrive and unleash their creative potential by telling compelling compelling stories for community change.
• The organization also thrives by drawing support from key allies who include key government ministries and other crucial community stakeholders and local CBOs including traditional, civil and church leaders and the marginalized groups.
• 60% of the work and projects at Agents of Change is cantered on the empowerment of women and girls using advocacy as its two top leaders are women- Activists and Human Rights Defenders.
• Through the Inclusive Governance-Claiming The Female Space Project , we are therefore looking for a suitably qualified individual who meets the requirements below to work as a consultant in transcribing 24 Episodes of our 45-minutes to 1 hour Radio series produced in Bemba and English.
• Main Task
• Transcribe the Radio show series within 24 hours of receiving the Recordings.

You must have access to at least one of the following devices: iPhone, iPad, Android Smartphone, Android Tablet.

• Good grammar, spelling and punctuation
• Computer proficiency
• Understand Bemba accurately
• Good Listening Skills
• Strong concentration skills
• Strong time-management skills
• A Degree Holder in Mass Communication or a related field is a must

Siklls / Prerequisites Needed
• You must have access to a smartphone, tablet or computer and be able to work remotely transcribe audio into text.
• Be able to work independently.
• Ability to closely follow steps and instructions provided for at least 5 available hours per week.
