As we expand our operations, we are seeking a Recoveries and Collections Manager to join our team in Lusaka.

Job Summary
The Recoveries and Collections Manager will spearhead strategies to manage overdue accounts, recover non-performing loans, and minimize credit risk, ensuring compliance with Zambian financial regulations and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement robust collections strategies and recovery frameworks.
• Oversee loan portfolio performance, identifying and mitigating risks related to delinquency.
• Collaborate with the legal team on escalated cases requiring litigation.
• Prepare and present recovery performance reports to senior management.
• Maintain compliance with all local laws and regulations governing credit and collections.
• Engage with clients to resolve payment challenges in a professional and constructive manner.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, or a business-related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in credit control, recoveries, or collections, preferably in the microfinance or banking sector.
• Strong understanding of Zambia’s credit management regulations and legal procedures.
• Proven track record of successfully managing delinquent loan portfolios.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in loan management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
