JOB DETAILS:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Carry out planned care for patients without direct supervision.
• Individualized patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical observations of the patient and act accordingly.
• Administration of medicines to patients according to prescribed procedure.
• Monitor patient progress in order to work towards safe and timely discharge plans.
• Act as the patient’s advocate.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Recognize patient needs and prioritize those needs with the needs outlined by the
• Medical Officer/Consultant.
• Assist and advise staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Undertake nursing procedures.

Qualifications/ Experience and Skills
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Registered Nurse/ Mid wife with a Degree/Advanced Diploma in Nursing
• Licensed with the General Nursing Council of Zambia/Midwifery Association of Zambia
• 3 years’ experience in a busy health care facility.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
