JOB DETAILS:

Position: Sales Associate
Lima Links is a Zambian agriculture technology start-up that provides advertising and advisory services to several companies, including small, medium, and large agriculture companies. The role of the Sales Associate is to lead sales of our products among these customers, maintain relationships with existing clients, and continually on board new clients. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a detailed understanding of how agriculture companies make sales and what their business priorities are, as well as have a basic understanding of the sales process and dynamics. This role also requires perseverance and great interpersonal skills. Detailed duties of this role are outlined below.. .

  Job Responsibilities:
• Always know our products inside and out, including new products that are released
• Continually generating new leads
• Meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients
• Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations
• Preparing weekly and monthly status reports
• Giving sales/product presentations to a range of prospective clients
• Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs
• Understanding and promoting company programs
• Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients
• Preparing and submitting sales contracts products and services
• Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
• Maintaining client records (using Hubspot, Google Drive)
• Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability
• Continually manage the relationships with clients, including weekly follow-up calls, regular meetings, introduction to new products, etc.
• Manage any customer complaints in a professional manner and in a way that ensures that customer will be a repeat customer
• Follow-up with any potential leads on a daily basis
• Ensure all products are accurate and live on the Lima Links platform
• Advise leadership on sales and product strategies

Job Qualifications:
• Bsc Degree in a related field
• Must have a valid driver’s license for manual vehicles
• A dynamic person that can out helping suppliers use product/dash board
• The person needs to be able to help us improve products by getting supplier feedback.
• Must be passionate about tech aspect of the job
• Be able to report product issues by working closely with product users management
• Experience in the agriculture sector – minimum high-level understanding of agronomy and agribusiness concepts will be an added advantage
• Understanding of the sales process and dynamics
• A commitment to excellent customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers and follow-up with them often
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Gmail, and other common computer applications
• Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment and work towards targets
