Job Purpose/Mission
ENGIE Energy Access is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and experienced Sales
Representative to drive sales for our MySol Solar Power Systems across Zambia. This
person will work directly with the Area Sales Manager and the National Sales Manager to
ensure the MySol brand is strong in their area, generate revenue by developing market
potential through lead generation, and most importantly closing sales to hit targets as well
as support the implementation of after sales services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Hit sales targets set for your territory.
• Support and oversee MySol Points of Sale (POS) in your territory.
• Demonstrate products and services to potential customers and assists them in
selecting those best suited to their needs.
• Emphasize product/service features and benefits, prices, discuss credit terms, and
prepare sales order forms.
• Ensure quality of after-sales services is exceptional in your territory
• Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services and
competitor activities.
• Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue
growth.
• Identify, train and manage a team of product champions in your territory.
• Build and maintain relationships with managers and staff of Ready Pay Dealers in your region.
• Work with representatives from EEA’s strategic partner to benefit from their
additional activities e.g. shows, radio advertising etc.
• Collect, analyze and report product and customer feedback to contribute directly to EEA product and business development strategy.
• Management of stock at POSs ensuring healthy supply for RPCs to access.
• Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray EEA’s in a positive manner
Qualifications, experience and skills required:
• Three (3) years of work experience with at least three (2) years of sales experience
• Proven track record leading teams and managing others
• Experience working in rural sales environment
• Demonstrated ability to hit sales targets
• Experience with and ability to effectively work with teams
• Ability to customize and clearly communicate the EEA value proposition, including
quantitative and qualitative benefits to the customer
• Ability to manage inventory and after-sales services processes
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in English & key languages
spoken in your region
• Ability to learn and share technical specifications of EEA products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Google Apps
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
