JOB DETAILS:
Konkola Mineral Resources Limited (KMRL) a subsidiary of Konkola Copper Mines Plc (KCM PIc), is one of the largest copper producers in Zambia. It operates underground and open pit mines located at Nchanga and Konkola. To support this vision KMRL would like to recruit an experienced and qualified individual for the following position in the Medical Department.

Job Purpose:
To offer quality ophthalmic nursing care to the patients which is cost effective without compromising the set standards.

Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
• Screening of patients and making a diagnosis.
• Prompt commencement of medical and surgical treatment. Conduct customer care evaluation and ensure effective communication at all levels.
• Plan and prepare consultative clinics for the ophthalmologist. Counselling of patients.
• Train and orient new staff and leave returns to ensure compliance to stipulated standards.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Grade 12 school certificate
• Diploma in Nursing
• Advanced Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing
• At least 1 year working experience in Ophthalmology Unit Computer literate
• Registration with the Health Professions Council (HPCZ)

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: Associate Degree
