About The Role:
The Senior Contracts Administrator will be responsible for generating and managing various contracts with consultants, suppliers and contractors for the Mingomba Mine Project. You will be responsible for aligning the contracts to the overall business objectives. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of contracts and negotiating change orders and variations where applicable. You will be responsible for building and fostering a collaborative relationship with all stakeholders including consultants, peer reviewers and suppliers.
You will join an outstanding team of geoscientists, data scientists, and software engineers. You will be a core part of the project teams, advancing the science and practice of exploration. You will help develop novel data collection and monitoring programs.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, responsibilities of this position include:
• Oversee engineering and construction contracts and ensure projects meet specifications and deadlines.
• Contributes to the overall procurement strategy by assisting with drafting procurement procedures and forms
• Collaborate with team members on contractual questions and issues.
• Monitor costs, budgets, and expenditures in conjunction with the cost engineer
• Conduct cost reviews and generate financial reports.
• Maintain project documentation such as contract correspondence and variations.
• Handle and evaluate variations and claims with project teams.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers for favorable outcomes.
Help with tender documentation preparation and evaluation.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have
• Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration or a related Social Science.
• 8+ years of experience as a Senior Contract Administrator in engineering and construction.
• Knowledge of complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contract management and cost control.
• Understanding of standard forms of contract, i.e. FIDIC, NEC etc
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in relevant software.
In addition to the above, you will have:
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work independently.
• A valid Driver’s license.
