Job Description
Senior Ict Officer- Customs Systems Support, Salary Grade Zra05 (1 Position), Business Facilitation, Ict Function
A. Purpose
Reporting directly to the ICT Manager Systems, the jobholder will be responsible for prescribing systems in ZRA ensuring that objectives and facilities meet business needs through integration of various systems as well as to ensure availability of systems as required.

B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Carry out system troubleshooting tasks and make recommendations to avoid future occurrence of similar problems.
2. Carry out system development and implementation for systems that will assist in achieving a sustainable increase in revenue collection.
3. Document all systems changes and incidents according to incident and enhancement standards and procedures.
4. Maintain up to date files or logs of all system changes and incidents.
5. Maintain up to date systems, procedure and user manuals.
6. Strengthen existing information systems to enhance efficiency, coordination and complete integration between various ZRA systems.
7. Develop and implement IT systems support standards and procedures.
8. Ensure that system enhancements are effected as prescribed to the satisfaction of all stake holders.
9. Ensure that system amendments are tested before installation and results confirmed by the users of the system.
10. Implement all security levels as stated in the I.T security standard manual for all user data in ZRA systems.

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Grade Twelve School Certificate/General Certificate of Education Equivalent with five (5) Credits or better;
2. Degree in Computer Science or related field;
3. Minimum of three (3) years relevant post qualifying work experience in the Information and Communication Technology profession; and
4. Must be a valid member of relevant professional body such as ICTAZ.
