Prime Insurance Limited is an insurance company, established in 1995 by Rwandan investors, a licensed general and life insurance company authorized by the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR).
The Company is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, self- motivated and experienced person to fill the following post:

Under the supervision of the Commercial Director, the Senior Sales Officer will help the company expand its business activities by actively seeking and acquiring new clients. You will identify their needs and demands and sell accordingly. The main goal is to formulate strong relationships with individual clients, corporate clients to ensure growth and preserve the company image. The candidate should have practical business intelligence and ability to handle different sales related situations. The candidate should be performance oriented and should give due importance to goal setting, performing and achieving

a) Responsibilities

  • Contact potential clients and create rapport by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc
  • Appraise the wishes and demands of business or individual customers and sell the suitable insurance protection plans
  • Collect information from clients on their risk profiles in order to offer them the proper insurance solutions.
  • Prepare weekly report to Commercial Director on the success of your business endeavors
  • Retain continuous awareness of transactions, sales, and terms and keep relative records
  • Check insurance claims to solidify trust and safeguard the company reputation
  •  Frequently replenish job-specific knowledge and apply it on the field
  • Fulfill all company established policy obligations

Interpersonal Skills

  • The Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and should be approachable by team members
    The candidate must have the ability to work in high pressurized environment as this sector is target driven and senior sales officer should be able to thrive under stress and help the team to achieve the company targets.
  • Ability to Multitask. The candidate must be able to prioritize and handle multiple work responsibilities simultaneously.
  •  Industry Knowledge. Candidate needs to be well-versed product knowledge and industry trends in order to do consultative selling.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales position especially in the insurance sector
  • Good comprehensive of insurance products e.g motor, fire and allied perils etc…
  • Ability to work with computers and understand and interpret standard statistical findings
  • Goal oriented
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships
  • University degree in Business related programmes
  •  Being Rwandan by nationality
  • Age 30-45
