Job Purpose : The Safety Truck Driver Trainer, will be responsible for training of Truck Drivers on safety and health matters with an emphasis on defensive driving.
• Summary of Key Responsibilities;
• Chair Daily / Weekly and Monthly Tools & Road Safety Meetings and Trainings
• Planning and Coordinate all driving training and test
• Enforce national road safety regulations and standards
• Complete documentation for mileage and cargo.
• Keep track of mileage, fuel, and toll expenses; confirm inventory matches shipping documents
• Work Closely with drivers Route Planning and Mapping
• Train drivers on how to plan routes to meet delivery schedules
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant to the National Road Traffic Rules
• Handle unexpected situations according to specified procedures.
• Reflect on vehicle performance and own operation of thereof
• Refuel vehicle and check / replace oil as needed
• Inspect trucks daily for damage or maintenance problems (tire wear, dents, etc.)
• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving.
• Maintain vehicle equipment.
• Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques.
• Supervise loading and unloading of cargo off truck; ensure cargo is secured.
• Investigate Accidents and Incidents
