JOB DETAILS:
Essential Information:
To analyze, design, implement and support solutions.
Reporting Relationships:
Functionally reports to the Head, Digital Banking

Job Duties:
• Maintaining and enhancing existing software applications
• Resolving technical issues through debugging, research and investigation
• Design, develop and implement creative and innovative software applications
• Participates in user requirement gathering as well as conducts design of solutions to be implemented
• Provide 3rd level support for platform based solutions under purview before final escalation to vendor.
• Ensure compliance of team members with all change management, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the support of existing functionality, requested changes, projects, and in the development of new functionalities
• Contribute to research goals and build on and refine appropriate outline ideas for the evaluation, development, demonstration and implementation of research
• Cultivate, disseminate, and enforce functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.
• Identify and manage the resources necessary for all stages (planning, design estimation, execution) of systems development projects to ensure technical, financial and quality targets are met.
• Design, develop and implement database.
• Implement, design and support network infrastructure.
• Design support and test mobile banking solutions.
• Monitor and report on the progress of systems development projects, using appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed standards, methods and procedures.
• Design, support and implement POS, PIN PAD and internet banking solutions.

Job Requirements & Knowledge:
• Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions
• Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies
• Possess knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing business service abstractions
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products.
• Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships

Application requirements:
• First degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Systems Engineering or Business-related discipline with strong Information Systems component with a Credit /Second Class or Better
• At least 3+ years of technical consulting experience or as an architect/programmer, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in DotNet (C#) and/or Java/Java based Application Development; HTML5, CSS3, Java Script, JQuery front-end development; PLSQL and/or T-SQL DB Scripting
• Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credits on their Grade 12 results with Mathematics and English included.
