Who we are looking for:
Our team in Zambia are relentless in the pursuit of excellence, ensuring AGCO delivers the best products and services in the industry in the most efficient, cost-effective way. We are currently seeking a Stores and Field Operations Assistant, to be based at our Future Farm in Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient management of the store and warehousing function on the farm. Working under the stores officer, the assistant’s core function is to ensure stores documentation is updated and accurate, ensure that fast-moving items are ordered timeously, working with security to ensure the safety of stock, and preventing these items from damage and pilfering. The successful candidate will also support the agronomy team with field operations as and when required by the agronomist.

What will you do:
• Maintain updated documentation and records of all assets.
• Ensure orderly labelling and storage of all items and general tidiness of the various stores (Fuel tank area, small parts/ consumable stores, large parts and equipment, fertilisers, seed, chemicals and used oils and fuels also monitored by local environmental agents).
• Ensure movements of all store items through an efficient ‘goods received and goods outgoing’ system.
• Ensuring that equipment/machinery to be deployed for field operations, are in good order/condition and/or report maintenance requirements timeously.
• Any other duties as required by the stores officer.

What will you bring:
• Minimum Grade 12.
• At least 5 years’ experience in store management and controls.
• Experience in managing asset registers.
• Qualification in stores management would be an added advantage.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy is required.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to perform stock takes.
• Good record keeping skills.

A plus if you have:
• Qualification in stores management would be an added advantage.
