JOB DETAILS:
The Mission of the Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LWSC) is to provide climate resilient quality water supply and sanitation services. In order to achieve this, the Company endeavours to have a pool of talent with appropriate qualifications, experience, skills, attitudes and abilities. LWSC now seeks to recruit dynamic, result-oriented and energetic person to fill the following advertised vacant positions on a permanent and pensionable basis.

POSITION 2 : Superintendent (G6) – Southern Region x 1

REPORTS TO : Senior Engineer - Southern Region

Job Purpose
To provide satisfactory operation and maintenance of water meet revenue collection targets.

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Manage water distribution network pressures, carries out network verifications and repairs to ensure equitable distribution of water.
ii. Investigate new water applications to ensure that they are processed within the stipulated time.
iii. To ensure efficient use of material drawn from stores in order to minimize maintenance costs.
iv. Conduct site surveys and preparation of bills of quantities for service line extensions in un-serviced areas and for new water connections.
v. Resolving network related customer complaints.
vi. Identifying and recommending materials required for network maintenance.
vii. Prepares and presents reports to the superiors as may be required and provide sectional input to the departmental budget.
viii. Carry out any other duties as may be delegated from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience
1. Diploma Water Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/or its Equivalent
2. Two (2) years’ experience
3. Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)

Level of Education: Associate Degree
