Position Overview
The Sustainability Manager role will involve managing day to day activities related to sustainability across all 6 farms currently operated by NCCL, including but not limited to managing the team of Health & Safety and Environmental Officers posted across the farms, maintaining impeccable health & safety standards across all operations, executing the community and stakeholder engagement strategy, monitoring the progress of NCCL implementing a solid environmental programme in order to sustain habitat restoration and conservation, and designing and implementing resources efficiency plans.

Key Performance Responsibilities include
• Design, implement and manage NCCL sustainability strategy across all farms where it operates
• Ensure NCCL’s alignment with Olam International sustainability strategy
• Report on Olam Coffee Plantation Aspirations at indicated frequency
• Organise, monitor and report on activities undertaken by NCCL H&S Officers
• Supervise the good execution and reporting of existing partnerships with current stakeholders
• Develop new partnership opportunities to support NCCL’s efforts towards sustainability
• Supervise and report progress towards objectives set for NCCL coffee

What will make you successful
• Degree in sustainability, environmental management or similar.
• Prior experience (minimum 5 years) in sustainability management required
• Able to work and live-in rural areas
• Able to work independently and as part of team
• Open-minded and ready to take up new challenges. Proactive and driven by self-initiatives
• Fluent in Bemba is a plus.
