ZAMNET Communication Systems is an Internet Service Provider offering Internet, Email, Domain services, Hosting and Networking Solutions, Web Development, Software Development, and ICT Consultancy across all market avenues that include Corporate, SME and Home use. ZAMNET’s vision is to be the leading provider of quality Internet, Information and Communication solutions. VACANCY We are recruiting for Technician – Broadband Service to be based at Head Office Lusaka .

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out structured installation of Broadband nodes while maintaining acceptable standards and best practices.
• Provide first line troubleshooting of broadband related problem on the phone and customer site.
• Carry out site surveys and producing comprehensive reports of the results.
• Carry out installation and preventive maintenance on ZAMNET’s base station equipment and other infrastructure required to provide broadband service.
• Carry out structured cable networks (LAN) installation and maintenance.
• Configure customer terminal equipment in accordance with ZAMNET best practices.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Full Grade Twelve Certificate
• Must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Telecoms or Computer Science from a recognised institution.
• A working knowledge of Wireless, VSAT, Optic Fibre, DSL, PLC technologies.
• Knowledge of basic electrical installation, earthing, troubleshooting and safety standards.
• A thorough knowledge of structured cabling and civil works in line with prevailing safety standards.
• Rigging skills and ability to work outdoors and at elevated heights.
• Preferably N+ certification and City and Guilds technician qualifications
• Basic understanding of Networking and network devices that comprise Broadband infrastructure.
• Driving License is a must have (Manual Transmission).
