The Government of the Republic of the Zambia (GRZ) through the Road Development Agency (RDA) has embarked on the upgrading of inland toll points. This project is financed through the National Road Fund Agency (NRFA). The National Road Tolling Programme (NRTP) commenced in 2013 under the Tolls Act, 14 of 2011 and Statutory Instrument (SI) No.73 of 2013 which was succeeded by SI No.85 of 2016. This programme was set out as a means of raising revenues meant exclusively for the construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of roads. Funds have been received to enable RDA to construct the canopy for the Mweeke Toll Plazas. The Road Development Agency (RDA) intends to apply part of these funds to cover eligible payments under a contract for the Supply, Fabrication and Installation of a Canopy at Mweeke Toll Plaza in Westem Province The scope of works in the project includes, but is not limited to the following: Supply of Canopy Steel Members Fabrication of Canopy Steel Members Erection of Canopy Associated accessories to the above The Road Development Agency (RDA) now invites bids Supply, Fabrication and Installation of a Canopy at Mweeke Toll Plaza in Western Province from eligible and qualified bidders. Bidding will be conducted through Open National Bidding procedures in accordance with the Public Procurement Ad No. 8 of 2020 This invitation is open to firms that are registered with the National Council for Construction (NCC) Category Bor Cin Grades 5 and 6 and have a valid Tax Clearance Certificate and VAT Certificate or VAT Exemption Certificate, proof of which should be shown by submission of copies of the relevant documents. Interested bidders may inspect and or purchase the bidding document from the Procurement Department, Road Development Agency Headquarters, Fairley Road in Lusaka OR the Road Development Agency Regional Office, Plot 146 along Mongu - Senanga Road in Mongu, at a nonrefundable fee of R1,000.00.
