INTRODUCTION
Habitat for Humanity Zambia is a locally registered Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1984 and currently operates in three provinces namely, Lusaka, Central and on the Copperbelt. The organization has been responding mainly to shelter needs and related issues such as water and sanitation to serve the most vulnerable families living in marginalized peri-urban communities within the three provinces.
HFH Zambia through its BMZ Community-Driven Models for WASH improvement Project, is funding the SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF 5 WATER KIOSKS AND STEEL STANDS BEARING 10,000L TANKS IN MAKULULU AREA, KABWE DISTRICT.
DELIVERY APPROACH
Habitat for Humanity Zambia promotes a community driven approach involving the local authority (Council),Lukanga Water and sanitation company Limited and community members and its leadership from the onset during the planning, implementation, monitoring and completion of installation works. This ensures development of local capacities in quality delivery of the product to the satisfaction of end users and the funding agencies in accordance with the scope of works.

Habitat for Humanity Zambia is now inviting bids from vendors for the SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF 5 WATER KIOSKS AND STEEL STANDS BEARING 10,000L TANKS IN MAKULULU AREA, KABWE DISTRICT
This includes; i) Substructure works: Excavations, concrete raft base and blockwork works, steel fixing, soak away stone installations ii) Superstructure works: bottom and ceiling slab concrete works, blockwork works, Lintel construction works, steel works i.e tank stand, steel window and door installations and 10,000 L Tank installations iv)Plumbing: Pipe works connections from main service pipe to tank and to taps, plumbing fittings installations, and V) Finishes i.e Plastering, floor screed, Painting and apron construction .
Note! The plumbing installation works are to be done with Lukanga water supply and sanitation Limited personnel to ensure uniformity with other existing water kiosks, as they also understand their main service line.
LOCATION
Makululu Area – Kabwe district. GPS (-14.449587,28.414387) all five sites within a radius of 10km.
The Bidder is required to submit the following documents.
-Financial offer/Quotation
-Three months bank statement
-Three Reference Letters from reputable organizations
-Valid NCC category B or C
-Valid ZPPA Certificate
-Valid EIZ registration License
-Valid Tax Clearance certificate
-Provision of brief method statement and duration of project
Personnel, Experience and Equipment
-Registered EIZ civil engineer or related qualifications with bachelor’s degree with at least 3-4 years’ experience for supervision of works.
-Plumber at least 3 years’ experience
-Proof of carried out past experience in similar works (Certifications of completion, award letters, Purchase orders etc).
-Light truck, Plate compactor, porker vibrator (hired or owned)
The Bidder is encouraged to visit the sites and examine the sites and their surroundings and obtain for itself, own risk and responsibility, all information that may be necessary for preparing the bid. The costs of visiting the site shall be at the Bidder’s own expense.
HOW TO APPLY
-The deadline for submitting your bids and required documentation is 20th December 2023 on or before 4:00pm
-Your sealed bid with supporting documents together with a USB flash drive containing your submitted soft copy documents and addressed to the Procurement Committee should be deposited in a tender box at the following address: –

SIGNING OF CONTRACT
Promptly upon notification, the Employer shall send the successful Bidder the contract agreement for review and signing.
PROJECT DURATION
The employer expects the project to be completed within 3 months of the date of signing the contract.
