JOB DETAILS:
Assist and support the examination, verification, evaluation and reporting on financial, operational and managerial processes systems, controls and outcomes to ensure financial and operational integrity and compliance.

MAIN DUTIES
• Provide input in the development and implementation of the internal audit charter.
• Ensure prompt implementation of annual audit plan.
• Ensure prompt preparation of audit working papers and audit reports.
• Provide relevant documentation and information to audit firms performing external audits.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of policies.
• Ensure compliance to internal policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls, risk management and accounting systems.
• Effectively participate in the evaluation of internal controls and operating practices.
• Initiate and implement auditing techniques, practices and benchmarks.
• Review and evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of the systems.
• Observe and assess internal processes and procedures, provide compliance reports and recommendations.
• Provide input in the development of risk internal audit and strategic plans that align with current and future corporate goals.
• Manage quality outcomes, while meeting established time budget.
• Verify the accuracy of financial records as they pertain to assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, and related transactions.
• Ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources.
• Safeguard the company against fraud and theft of assets.
• Ensure verification of attestation of all employee contracts.
• Management of internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide information to internal and external stakeholders for appropriate decision making.
• Ensure compliance to Governing laws and regulations
• Liaise with other departments to identify and manage risks

Academic /Professional Qualifications:
• Full grade 12 certificate (5 ‘0’ levels) with credit or better in Mathematics and English
• Full CA, ACCA or a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an audit or finance position.
• Must be a fully paid-up member of ZICA.
• Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) membership is an added advantage.
