JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
This function is responsible for managing the Management Information Systems (MIS) for the operations division. This includes developing, maintaining, and improving reporting systems and analytical models to align with the operational strategies of the bank. The role requires strong expertise in data analysis, reporting, communication, and visualization in order to provide actionable insights and drive operational efficiencies.
Under the supervision of the Operations Performance Management Head, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovation and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.
• Monitor and analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Provide regular performance reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with operational teams to set performance targets and develop action plans to achieve them.
• To develop and adapt reports on Key Performance Indicators to ensure that line managers can measure and monitor continuous improvement in performance
• To assist in the planning, developing and coordination of the production of performance reports that meet the needs of the COO and Heads in Operations Division to assist with benchmarking analysis for services
• Lead the data analysis process, including data collection, cleaning, and transformation.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from data.
• Develop models and forecasting capabilities to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation through data analysis.
• To collect Operational data for developing relevant business planning models for the Operations Division strategic planning process
• To conduct economic, financial and market research analysis
• To assist with benchmarking analysis for service delivery
• To support the change agenda and initiatives in the Division thus ensuring successful delivery
• To develop and support high quality data standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the bank, including operations, business units, and senior management.
• Influence decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
• To create a shared vision of respective solutions and facilitate decision making and arbitration relating to trade offs both within and between different solution options
• To assist in preparations of presentations for different stakeholder engagements
• To interpret and provide accurate and timely information to key stakeholders in the required format to facilitate the Operations decision making process. This will involve the receipt of complex and sensitive information to analyse, interpret and present in an appropriate format
• Establish, align and manage target and budget goals while ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
• Lead and manage reporting and analytics, providing guidance to ensure high performance.
• Manage own development to increase own competencies.
• Coaching and supervising colleagues, coordinating activities based on a schedule/work assignments, and enabling others to perform their own work properly
• Any other responsibilities or tasks as maybe assigned by management.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12 Certificate with Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematical Statistics, Actuarial Science or related quantitative Degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the banking or financial services industry
• Proficient in SQL and advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS). Including data visualisation tools such as Power BI
