JOB DETAILS:
Forlan Logistics Limited is a dynamic and progressive company looking to fill the position of Automotive Electrician on a full time basis. As a successful hire, you will be tasked with the following.

Responsibilities
• Installation, repairing, wiring, and maintenance of all electrical components in vehicles.
• Servicing of electrical automotive parts.
• Assessing the electrical system of a vehicle using diagnostic testing equipment.
• Using readings and electrical diagrams to diagnose faults and decide how best to repair them.
• Identify and repair faults on auto-electrical systems.
• Schedule and perform routine checks and maintenance of electrical system components.
• Manage installation and replacement of starter motors, alternators, and generators.
• Use circuit diagrams and manufacturers manuals to assure proper repairs.
• Prevent potential damage or malfunction through regular inspection and preventative measures.
• Carrying out tests on the vehicle to ensure that it has been properly repaired and of top quality.
• Assist in ordering replacement components.
• Communicate with customers and management to explain the nature of repairs and discuss possible options.
• Estimating the cost of the work to be carried out and how long it is likely to take.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards.

Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum 6 years previous experience as an Auto Electrician
• Technical certification or degree in Automotive Electrical
• Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical wiring.
• Ability to work standing or in a crouched position for long periods.
• Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Skills and Competencies
• Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to pinpoint sources of malfunction and come up with targeted solutions
