JOB DETAILS:
Director, Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (11358)
Overview

The Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC) is a global partnership of more than 550 public, private, and non-governmental organizations dedicated to ensuring that all people in low- and middle-income countries can choose, obtain, and use affordable, high-quality supplies and related services to ensure their better sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Our global Secretariat is staffed and managed by PATH, a global nonprofit improving public health. PATH, on behalf of the Coalition Secretariat, is seeking an RHSC Director, who together with the Secretariat and global membership, will advance Coalition goals and priorities under the leadership of the RHSC Executive Committee.
The RHSC is a unique global partnership that offers a neutral “safe space” where experts can leave their institutional hats at the door and build on common ground. It brokers partnerships across all sectors and regions; convenes a critical mass of partners to achieve results no partner could accomplish on its own; and draws from a diverse, flexible resource base to pursue activities that may fall outside the remit of an individual donor. The RHSC’s large and diverse membership offers an accessible brain trust, and the RHSC’s respected name brings credibility and trust.

Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Direction: Shape and drive RHSC’s leadership and work for the next strategic period including:
• Lead strategic development and priority setting in close partnership with the RHSC Executive Committee
• Lead the continual implementation of the current strategic plan while reassessing its relevance to a shifting landscape
• Initiate and lead the analysis on the impact of changes and trends in the SRH ecosystem and propose the RHSC’s response
Leadership External (Coalition facing)
• Further strengthen the RHSC’s position as the leading partnership for reproductive health (RH) supplies in the broader RH ecosystem
• Represent the RHSC at relevant international and national forums with a range of partners, including the commercial sector
• Represent the RHSC on the governing bodies of other international health partnerships
• Communicate Coalition priorities and progress within the larger health community by identifying and fostering linkages among Coalition partner organizations, and between the Coalition and other global health partnerships such as FP2030, SEMA, Ouagadougou Partnership, GFF, and others
• Actively engage RHSC members in advancing RHSC goals, developing synergies, and facilitating internal communication. Ensure that all members have a voice and a channel for communication and ideas
• Serve as ex officio member of the Coalition’s Executive Committee and in collaboration with the Chair(s) develop agendas for the Executive Committee meetings
Leadership Internal (Secretariat facing)
• Lead the operationalization and implementation of the Coalition’s Strategy, building on the technical expertise of key Secretariat staff, and ensuring intensive interaction with the RHSC’s Implementing Mechanisms (IMs)
• Oversee the operations of a strong, dynamic, and effective Secretariat by providing oversight, management, guidance, and team cohesion of the Secretariat’s 17 program and administrative staff across four continents. Foster an inclusive, transparent, and respectful work culture and environment
• Lead the development of core funding proposals that secure a diverse funding base adequate to fulfill the objectives of the RHSC’s four-year workplan. Expand the Coalition’s donor base and facilitate mobilization of resources for various RHSC activities and priorities
• Oversee the application of a robust measurement and evaluation framework that compares Coalition’s progress against priorities, and report back to the Executive Committee and membership
• Oversee the RHSC’s communications efforts across the Coalition’s three working languages: English, French, and Spanish. Ensure that all RHSC products (communications, technical reports, initiatives, etc.) are technically sound and of high-quality
• Manage the RHSC Secretariat’s annual operating budget, ensuring the long-term financial health of the Coalition and ensure compliance with the reporting requirements of a large and diverse donor base (currently three bilaterals/multilaterals and three foundations)
Required Experience:
