JOB DETAILS:
The North Western Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the position listed below at Provincial level
JOB TITLE: EHR DEPLOYMENT AND TRAINING OFFICER (1 POSITION)
JOB PURPOSE: To strengthen the implementation and use of SmartCare in order to contribute to improved patient care, data management and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Policy Ensures functionality and use of SmartCare in all supported health facilities in the sub district/district in order to enhance and improve HIV data management and reporting.
• SmartCare Rollout Ensures that a plan is in place and implemented to rollout SmartCare in the sub-district/district in order to enhance effective and efficient service delivery
• SmartCare Implementation Ensures that they are no backlogs; and are providing Transport Databases (TDBs) on monthly basis to district and the Provincial Health Office in order to ensure smooth smartcare implementation.
• Data Analysis and use Undertakes regularly, SmartCare back-end analysis in order to facilitate understanding of data extracted from SmartCare and enhance/improve the quality of data.
• Capacity Building Undertakes regular trainings, mentorships, and Technical Assistance programs in order to build and strengthen capacities in the sub district in SmartCare data management and use. Supervision Supervises effectively, human, financial and other material resources in order to facilitate achievement of set objectives.
• Performance Appraisal Undertakes effectively, the development of sectional and individual work plans in order to monitor and evaluate performance.
• Quality Improvement and Assurance Manages effectively performance assessment and quality assurance/improvement for public health in order to ensure adherence to set standards and improve service delivery
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Secondary Education:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five O level credits or better
Professional Qualifications:
Degree in ICT/Computer Science or relevant
Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
3 years’ relevant work experience
Communication Skills:
(i) Written Skills: Ability to write technical papers and analytical reports
(ii) Oral Skills: Ability to communicate fluently in English
Other skills/Attributes: Numerical/ Computation skills, Interpersonal relations and facilitation skills
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 36
Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
