To develop and implement the Home Broadband Go To Market (GTM) Strategy in the country with the objective of driving penetration of connected homes through Fixed Wireless Access (4G & 5G), FTTX (Fiber) and Mobile Broadband (MiFi) in order to win Customer Market Share (CMS) and Revenue Market Share (RMS) profitably.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
- Formulate the Home Broadband (HBB) sales strategy for the country through comprehensively understanding customer needs (data bandwidth requirement), profile (pocket size) and technology (Fixed Wireless and Fixed Optical) available to service needs.
- Understand unitary economics for evaluating and determining choice of channel to leverage for acquisition and technology to service customer demand
- Understand Airtel exclusive outlet footprint and design training program and incentive structure required to drive home broadband productivity
- Design right profit story for sales manpower and channel in conjunction with Africa Head of HBB to ensure productivity and quality of acquisitions.
- Develop and implement the HBB marketing and communication strategy for the country that will ensure superior visibility and superior customer intimacy of the Brand compared to competition in the operation.
- Understand customer consumption behavior and design the right products for acquisition, value growth and retention
- Lead country-level customer and marketing research, evaluate industry/ market trends and competition strategies and recommend product positioning and pricing
- Help build/ refine brand toolkit by way of content and maintain accountability of distribution guideline of brand assets.
- Improve Airtel’s relative position in the marketplace by devising a strategy to gain higher share of incremental RMS to improve Company’s overall RMS.
- Create a segmented strategy for customer acquisition and prepare a roadmap for implementation.
- HBB Customer Value Management to ensure <2% churn and <15% M2 decay in the category
- Design/ promote improvements while ensuring compliance on clear customer onboarding journey norms
- Ensure digital omni-channel (USSD, IVR, App, Web) are available to customer with consistency in product nomenclature to support easy recharge
- Ensure proper product Lifecyle management for right product catalogue to maintain sustainable competitive advantage
- Ensure optimal spend vis-à-vis budget and monitor performance against plan.
- Detailed market analysis & insights of customers by geography, demography, psychographic, benefits sought & usage levels
- Lead the production of regular dashboard reports and distribute to executive management with analysis of major trends or issues
- Creation and motivation of a highly effective Team so that the functions objectives are delivered
- Develop a bench strength of future leaders through coaching, mentoring and guidance
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:
- Bachelors’ Degree of high merit or like discipline
- MBA and professional certifications will be an added advantage
Relevant Experience:
- At least 15 years’ working experience with 7 years or more in a sales role in FMCG OR telecommunications industry
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Strong people skills- Ability to motivate, build collaborative relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrable Entrepreneurial ability
- Willingness to frequently travel on short term assignment to any of the 14 Airtel Africa markets.
- Excellent understanding of corporate governance standards
- Ability to present well researched proposals confidently to senior executives in business
- Experience in building business cases on commission schemes and governance processes.
