Job Description
Ict Officer- Security, Salary Grade Zra06 (1 Position), Business Facilitation, Ict Function
A. Purpose
Reporting directly to the Senior IT Officer – Security, the job holder will be responsible for effectively supporting the ZRA business through the provision of timely, cost-effective, efficient and professional I.T. Security through consultation, agreements and research, with ZRA IT, Divisions and service providers. This includes protecting the confidentiality, availability and integrity of information and maintaining the technical mechanisms of legitimate access to it.
Responsibility:

B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Monitoring and assessing the database security activities, procedures and systems.
2. Supporting database Security systems – data audits, scanning and, assessment tools.
3. Conducting database security risk assessments and audits.
4. Reviewing and updating database management system manuals.
5. Planning and coordinating database systems and security.
6. Partnering with stakeholders to educate and implement data security processes.
7. Developing test plans for secure disaster recovery.
8. Designing and implementing critical application security.
9. Performing security-related tasks and incident resolution.
10. Reviewing and implementing data security standards, policies, and procedures.
11. Ensuring ICT system and data security, implementing security measures conducting risk assessments.
12. Developing and enforcing security policies, monitoring security logs.
13. Responding to incidents, conducting security awareness training.
14. Staying up-to-date with emerging threats, collaborating with teams, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education Equivalent with five (5) Credits or better.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Information Systems technology, electronics and telecommunications, engineering/technology.
3. Minimum of two (2) years relevant post qualifying work experience.
4. Must be a valid member of ICTAZ or any other relevant professional body.
