The Zambia International Trade Fair Trust (ZITFT) is inviting applications from talented, energetic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Procurement and Stores Officer Intern.
Reporting Relation
Report to: The Procurement Officer
JOB SUMMERY
To oversee and manage the receiving, storing, accounting, distribution, issuing, inventory maintenance, and disposal of obsolete items.
MAIN ROLES AND RENSPONSIBILITIES
- Perform supplier sourcing by collecting quotations, and valid registration forms from different suppliers.
- Assist in evaluation of suppliers by following the ZITFT Procurement policy and procedures.
- Ensure that all items in the store are properly kept in designated areas to prevent unnecessary accidents and incidents.
- Perform any other assignments as directed by management from time to time.
- Ensure that all systems and procedures for receiving and storing items are followed.
- Ensure that the issuance of items from the store aligns with department budgets.
- Ensure that all items in the store are properly coded to facilitate stock-taking, item identification, and accountability.
- Ensure proper coordination with both internal and external clients of the Trust.
- Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS.
- Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate.
- Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply, or any other related discipline.
- Related experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Preferred Ndola residents.
