ABOUT SAVE THE CHILDREN
Save the Children (SC) is an International Non-Governmental Organization that has been working in Zambia since 1983, with a vision of a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development, and participation. SC’s history of working in Zambia has made footprints in all the 10 provinces of Zambia in both development and humanitarian programs. SC’s programming in the country focuses on increasing access to quality inclusive education, health and nutrition, supporting families, communities and the government to protect girls and boys from all forms of violence, and ensuring children can participate in and influence government planning and budgeting processes. In implementing its programmes, SC works in collaboration with government line ministries, Civil Society Organizations and local community partners, schools, children and their families.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In partnership with the Save the Children (SC) team, the School Feeding Consultant will be
responsible for conducting capture work and leading technical design of school feeding
programs in Zambia. The School Feeding Consultant is expected to serve as the primary source
of information and coordination with the Ministry of Education and other relevant Zambian
Government ministries and agencies to articulate key program details and priorities, especially
related to key gaps in the geography, schools, and the evidence base for programming. Work
directly with the SC team to comply with the requirements to ensure the final design exceeds
the requirements of the donor, aligns with the Government of Zambia priorities and
requirements, and is able to successfully deliver school feeding programs in Zambia.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The consultant will directly work with and report to the Technical Lead who will provide
guidance and oversight to information to be gathered

PAYMENT TERMS
Payment shall be monthly based on approved timesheets denoting the hours worked each day.
Save the Children reserves the right to re advertise if suitable applicants are not found.
