C4ED’s vision is to improve the lives of the poor and vulnerable by making development interventions more effective.Mission
C4ED is a non-profit research center and registered charity that aims to bridge the gap between research and practice in global development. C4ED conducts impact evaluations and pilots innovative solutions. It also builds capacities, advises and supports its partners, and disseminates evidence what works for whom, when, why and under which circumstances.
C4ED’s goal is to lift people out of poverty, to reduce vulnerability and to foster sustainable development solutions through scientifically supported impact evaluations and innovative programs. As an independent research center, C4ED guarantees objective and high-quality evaluations and analysis.
C4ED accompanies programs and projects through all stages, from the designing and piloting phase to scaling up, with impact evaluation, scientific analysis and capacity building. In addition, C4ED supports and conducts its own pilot projects.
C4ED’s four-pronged approach:
Our impact
From pilot to scale-up we accompany development projects through all the phases. In addition to conducting rigorous impact evaluations we endeavor to build capacities and disseminate policy evidence. Read here about how one of our evaluations led to the scale-up of a health insurance system, impacting not only on insurance coverage but also on child labor reduction.
