JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Inspecting equipment before and after repair.
• Carrying out refractory repairs on production vessels efficiently and on schedule.
• Carrying out daily repairs of casting units and tapping launders.
• Maintenance of the furnace, rehabilitation and overhaul.
• Ensuring that there is continuity of production.
• Utilizing material provided or available to acceptable standards within set cost estimates.
• Ensuring good housekeeping.
• Adhering to all other assignments that are given that are lawful and fair. To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Advanced/Technician/Craft Certificate in Masonry Works/Bricklaying.
• Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Exposure to mining and metallurgical operations.
• The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
