JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
• The Management Accountant will be responsible for maintenance of effective systems for producing financial projections, budgeting and control systems. Provide control in order to assist management in the formulation and implementation of the organisation’s strategy. Maintain effective working relationships with company’s external partners.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;
• Prepare monthly and annual management accounts for decision making and ensure monthly reporting deadlines are met at all times
• Complete and prepare Statutory audits of both Separate financial statements and consolidated financial statements
• Ensure all financial records are kept accurately and securely and in line with legislative requirements.
• Process payments and reconciliations of ledger to supplier statements
• Ledger posting using the new chart of accounts;
• Process payments and reconciliations of ledgers to supplier statements
• Analysis of revenues and expenditure to support weekly generation of cashflow projections
• Analysis of ledger accounts and timely preparation of reconciliations
• Monitor the institution’s financial position on a weekly and monthly basis
• Ensure timely payment of creditors and invoicing of debtors.
• Implement and follow the debtor management process.
• Administer the bank accounts and carry out bank reconciliations on all the institution’s bank accounts.
• Provide monthly budget reports for Management Meetings working closely with budget-holders.
• Oversee petty cash reconciliation, allocating payments to appropriate budgets.
• Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Full CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA
• Degree in Finance or Accounts will be an added advantage
• Must have a minimum of at least 6-10 years practical experience in Management Accounting & Reporting
• Must have worked for either a Transportation/Logistics or Mining Company in the same Capacity
• Advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Must be a member of ZICA
