Location: Chipata, Eastern Province

Basic function
Under the supervision of the Business Official, the Senior Finance & Administration Officer will provide support to and coordination of the work of the project office. S/he under will oversee financial management and administrative functions. .
Duties and responsibilities
• Review of all GFAS invoices and journal entries
• Review physical inventory listings as per established FHI standards, which include inventory, listing and reconciliation of records to the GFAS accounting system
• Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of petty cash, bank statements, Advance to Field balances (per FHI General Ledger to GFAS Country Office Balance/Sheet), and other receivables, liability, pre-paid (including travel advances) and payables
• Review of bank reconciliations for all the project bank accounts
• Primary responsibility for conducting pre-awards and financial reviews of implementing partners
• Review of travel expense reports
• Project funding pipeline forecasts are performed on a regular basis in current templates per deadlines and transitioned to updated tools and processes as directed by FHI Financial and Global Operations management.
• Serve as point of contact for logistical and administrative needs in the office.
• Coordinate all administrative and secretarial support services.
• Keep proper office records/filings as appropriate.
• Coordinate all records/storage of supplies for the country office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements
• University degree in accounting, finance and business administration or its recognized equivalent CIMA, ACCA, NATECH.
• Registered with ZICA
• 5 –8 years experience in accounting related to donor-funded programs
• Experience with CDC programs a plus.
• Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
