JOB DETAILS:
Purpose Of The Job
Reporting to the Mine Surveyor and assisting the Mine Surveyor in daily planned activities

Key Responsibilities
• This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

Responsibilities
• Undertake daily survey pickups and stake outs with GPS Rover and Total station prism rods for presentation of daily mine plan to be used by Mining operations and Geology teams
• Assist in carrying out Pit Surveys on regular basis to enable accurate bench and total volumes calculations at the end of the month
• Assist in carrying out pit surveys for use in pit toe checks and other design verifications
• Involvement and assisting in demarcating and surveying of blasting areas for drilling,
• Assist in carrying out Stockpile surveys on a regular basis for accurate calculations of stockpile volumes at month end reconciliation and Ore stocks calculations
• Assist during set out and survey all Production control drill holes, face sampling and exploration drill holes as required
• Assist in managing all survey equipment, vehicles and storerooms to the required standards
• Assist the Mine Surveyor in establishing and monitoring secondary controls within the Mining License, levelling controls
• Erect pit and mining limits pegs, batter pegs and any other surveys as required Assist in installation of pit profiles, batters and related stakes
• Assist in installation of Pit profiles, batters and related stakes

Qualifications
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Experience as Survey assistant added advantage
• EXPERIENCE
• Relevant mining experience
