JOB DETAILS:
The Eastern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the positions listed below to be employed on a one-year renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
Job Title: District VMMC Program Officer – (3) Positions
Station: Mambwe, Nyimba and Vubwi District Health Offices

Job Purpose:
To coordinate implementation of Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision programs in order to contribute to reduction in new HIV infections.

Job Responsibilities
• Coordinates effectively VMMC demand creation programs in order to create awareness.
• Coordinates effectively capacity building programs in order to impart knowledge and skills.
• Coordinates effectively VMMC programs in order to meet the objective.
• Coordinates effectively monitoring and evaluation of VMMC programs in order to facilitate decision making.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Full Form 5/ Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine or equivalent
• Minimum Three (3) years relevant Pre-Job Experience
• Ability to write comprehensive reports
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Level of Education: Associate Degree
