JOB DETAILS:

JSH is implementing the USAID Controlling HIV Epidemic for Key and Underserved Populations
(CHEKUPII) Activity which was awarded on September 13, 2022, with implementation through September 6, 2027. The Activity aims to support the Ministry of Health in mitigating against and attaining HIV epidemic control by increasing equitable access to, and use of person-centered, community-driven, and high-quality HIV prevention services for key and underserved (priority) populations. USAID CHEKUP II Activity operates in seven districts with the highest HIV-burden in Zambia. USAID CHEKUP II Activity seeks dynamic and highly experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions.

1. POSITION ONE

Position: DREAMS Site Coordinator
Location: Kasama (1). Kapiri Mposhi (1), Kabwe (2) - (Total Four (4) Positions)
Duration: Full-Time Position
Reports to: District Epidemic Control Centre (DEpiCC) Manager

1. Roles Purpose
The DREAMS Site Coordinator will manage two (2) DREAMS Centres and lead a team in the rollout and implementation of the DREAMS package and day to management of a DREAMS Centres. The DREAMS Centre Coordinator will be responsible for creating an enabling environment for both DREAMS site employees and beneficiaries. They will be responsible for effective stakeholder engagement and management to facilitate the successful roll-out of DREAMS interventions. The DREAMS Site Coordinator will work under the guidance and supervision of the District Epidemic Control Centre (DEpiCC) Manager, with secondary technical supervision from the OVC/DREAMS Advisor.

2. Tasks and Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day running of the DREAMS Centre, including supervision of connectors and mentors;
• Act as a focal point between the DREAMS Centres and other facilities and entities where AGYW will be referred to access services that will not be available at the Centre;
• Conduct weekly and monthly planning and review meetings with Connectors and Mentors and provide onsite support;
• Coordinate inventory, stocks, and assets at DREAMS Centres;
• Consolidate monthly performance data and report timely into the DREAMS Database;
• Mentor the Connectors to better support the Safe Spaces Mentors;
• Work with the catchment Health facility to ensure the continuous supply of commodities and ease linkage processes;
• Complete a data quality checklist for all completed documents filled by DREAMS Connectors;
• Review and approve the DHIS2 report entered by Connectors;
• Coordinate and monitor biomedical services, Economic strengthening, Mental Health and psychosocial support services, and School-based Prevention Intervention;
• Work with Connectors to ensure all DREAMS service layers are effectively implemented;
• Support troubleshooting and engagement of key stakeholders to ensure that the DREAMS program runs smoothly;
• Submission of consolidated activity monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports to the District Epidemic Control Centre (DEpiCC) Manager;
• Coordinate development and tracking of DREAMS Centre budgets and recommend requests for payments for activities within the DREAMS Centre;
• Adhere to JSH personnel, financial, operations, and fraud management policies;
• Supervise and mentor staff; responsible for the professional development and assessment of dream
site staff;
• Participate in any other tasks as requested by the supervisor and/or CHEKUP II management.

3. Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors:
• Minimum of a Degree in Social Work, Psychosocial Counselling, Social Sciences or a health-related field.
• Must have a Psychosocial Counseling Certificate and be able to provide HTS testing in line with national guidelines.
• At least three years of experience working with adolescents and young women in HIV prevention and service provision
• At least 5 plus (five) years of experience managing an HIV-related program
• Strong communication skills (English) and the local language that is spoken in the implementation site or community
• An empathetic, devoted, and respectful individual with good interpersonal communication, team building, and writing skills.
• Must be assertive and energetic
• Females aged between 25 and 35
• Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
