JOB DETAILS:
Reporting directly to the Ground Marshal Supervisor, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring smooth traffic flow into and out of the facility by properly directing them, and ensuring their safe and efficient movement, thus reducing the risk of accidents.

Duties and Responsibilities
o Receiving traffic from the main road, by separating trucks into prepaid, non-prepaid and light vehicles.
o Guiding prepaid trucks into the fast lane and ordinary trucks into the normal lanes o Ensuring that the three lanes are maintained at all times
• Ensuring that cones and barriers are put in straight lines for easier visibility
o Reporting any irregularities to the Supervisor.
o Communicating with the Supervisor and the Control Room about the presence of explosive trucks, abnormal as well as any other irregularities o Ensuring the escape route is kept clear for the use of rejected, as well
o Protecting the cameras and reporting any irregularities to the Supervisor. Guiding rejected trucks into main yard.
o Ensuring that no trucks block main exit lanes.
o Ensuring that the emergency lane is kept clear at all times before and after operations
o Ensuring that the load the truck is carrying is properly loaded and not protruding
o Ensuring that empty trucks are not delayed
o Directing the trucks to the exit gates

Requirements
• Grade Twelve School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) Equivalent;

Other Skills and Attributes
o Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.
o Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once and to work positively and effectively within a team or self-directed model.
o Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, and sometimes irate, individuals and to handle calmly and efficiently situations ranging from routine to emergency.
