JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Accounts Intern
Job Purpose: provide support to the accounts department in accordance with the company policies and procedures .

Key responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Accounts Assistant.
• To work in the accounts department to ensure that all accounts are posted in the relevant journals or ledgers
• Assisting the accounts department with budgeting and budgetary control measures
• Reconciling finance and stores accounts and maintaining data spreadsheets.
• Preparation of stores monthly reports for approval by superior
• Handling and writing cheques for payment, receiving and processing of invoices
• Investigating and resolving queries related to invoices
• Reconciliation of bank statements on a weekly basis as directed by superior
• Assisting with credit control, following up on debt via telephone, email and letters
• Allocating incoming payments onto the ledger
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory payments such as ZRA, NAPSA, Workers Compensation, etc
• Handling of petty cash and imprest
• Ensuring all payment have the appropriated documents attached i.e. receipts, purchase orders, invoices etc.
• Takes other duties as assigned by superior

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• CA Zambia knowledge level, any related course
• Must be registered with ZICA
• At least one year working experience
