• Chilanga Cement, Chilanga Plant, is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individual to take up the role of:
• To prepare, negotiate, and review company contracts, including sales, purchases, and business partnerships while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, analysing potential risks, and maintaining organized records. Also responsible for ensuring contracts are administered and monitored to maintain compliance with the terms of the agreements. This role reports to the Performance Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
• Drafting and negotiating commercial functions contracts with customers via internal stakeholders for approval
• Establishing contract terms and conditions including service levels, fees and financial obligation.
• Undertaking contract analysis and providing advice to the business.
• Drafting and revising contracts, which may include preparing documents, negotiation of legal agreements with customers.
• Monitoring and advising on compliance with contractual obligations, including revisions to existing contracts, renewals and cancelations.
• Communicating changes in the business’s legal obligations to relevant stakeholders within an organization.
• Manage paperwork associated with contracts, programs and projects and responding to any concerns or queries.
• Analyse potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
• Maintain the filing of hard or soft copy contracts and maintain an updated database.
• Organizing and managing schedules and calendars for commercial staff
• Conferring with finance department to help make payments, process incoming invoices, and verify receipts
• Creating reports and memos for the commercial function
• Offer assistance in organizing events, including ordering materials and requisitioning meeting spaces.
• Attend meetings and record notes and messages
Qualifications, Experience and skills required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing.
• At least 2 years relevant work experience in Contract Administration.
• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
Technical Skills
• Proven work experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Manager or similar
• Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
• Familiarity with accounting procedures
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Proactive, highly motivated and flexible
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
• Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
