JOB DETAILS:
The Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) Officer will be a mid-level member of the project team and will work with the Ministry of Health Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI), other government departments, Zambia Civil Immunisation Platform (ZCSIP), local partners, non-governmental organizations, community organizations, and others partners to increase demand for health services.
The ACSM Officer will work to provide specialized technical assistance to design, implement, monitor, and coordinate SBCC and demand generation interventions.

Key Responsibilities
• Provides technical assistance, direction and support related to the development and implementation of ACSM /demand generation/marketing strategies for CHAZ Health interventions through design, media and material production, community mobilization, and evaluation.
• Provide technical support to CHAZ partners implementing Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) activities.
• Responds to the specified deliverables and goals of contracts and grant agreements, ensuring achievements in a timely manner and in full support and compliance with Gavi contractual agreement.
• Leads the implementation of work plans and related activities.
• Drafts quarterly and annual reports, and all other reporting requirements as needed.
• Liaises with and manages SRs involved in country EPI program activities and assists in the implementation of project activities.

Basic Qualification, Training and Experience:
• Minimum Diploma in a Communication-related Field of Study (Journalism or Mass Communication)
• 3-5 years of experience in implementing and managing demand generation, marketing, social and behaviour change programs and projects in Zambia.
• Strong understanding of Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization models and strategies and their practical application to improving demand for development-related outcomes.
• Field experience in developing and implementing ACSM projects and programs.
• Understanding of Message development processes and monitoring and evaluation methodologies for effective demand generation, marketing and ACSM interventions.
• Proven ability to work as an effective team member.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills in, English and one or more local languages are a plus.
• Ability to set priorities while multi-tasking, and meet deadlines.
